Uploading Photos:
1) To upload one photo, click on the "Upload Photo's" link, which is on the right side of all pages of the photo album, just above the blue line near the top of the page on the right. The "Upload Photo" page will appear.
2) Choose a Category: Note: Every photo you upload will be placed in your album, which is created when you register, even if you assign the photo to be placed in one of our public categories. (Sleepy Kitties, etc.)
If you'd like to put your photo into a public category, choose the category using the dropdown box. (If you choose to place your photo in a public category, a copy of it will be included in your personal album. (See note above.)
If you'd prefer to put your photo in your album only, select "member albums" from the dropdown box.
Note: You can create specific albums within your own photo album by clicking on "Album Admin" on the left side above the blue line. If you decide to make a specific album, (ex. "Fluffy"), within your album, the "Fluffy" section of your album will show up on the "choose a category" drop down box under "member album" once you've created the "Fluffy" section. If you do not create any sections within your album, all photos you upload will be placed in your main album.
3) Select photo to upload. Click the "browse" button and a file selection box showing the files on your computer will appear. Select the file, (photo) you want to upload from your computer and click "open", the file path will appear in the white field next to the "browse' button.
4) Enter a title for your photo. (Ex. Fluffy01)
5) Enter keywords. (Optional) If you enter a few keywords, it will help other visitors find your photo using our search engine.
6) Enter a photo description: (Optional) Enter any description you'd like. (Ex. "This is my Fluffy! I've owned her for one year and I keep her in a safety deposit box.")
7) Email notification: If you click yes, an email will be sent to the email address you supplied during the registration process every time someone posts a comment about your picture.
8) Upload/Submit: Once you've completed the above steps, look it over and make sure everything, (description, title, keywords, etc.), is as you want it. Then click "Upload/Submit" The image then gets uploaded and you will be presented with another page where you can make any changes to the description or title before it gets posted to your album. Once you are satisfied that everything is as you want it, hit the "Process Files" button.
Uploading Multiple Pictures at one time:
You can upload up to 10 pictures at one time.
When you click on the "Upload Photos" link, the "Upload Photo's page appears. The page has 10 "Browse Buttons". If you have more than one pic to upload and want to do up to 10 at a time, click the "browse" button and a file selection box showing the files on your computer will appear. Select the file, (photo) you want to upload from your computer and click "open", the file path will appear in the white field next to the "browse' button. Then hit the next "Browse Button" and locate your second file, (picture), and click "Open".
Repeat this step for as many pics as you want to upload. (Up to 10 at a time maximum).
When you've selected the pictures you want to upload, click the "Upload/Submit" button. You will then be taken to the Image Processing page where you can add titles and descriptions for each picture individually. Once you have everything looking the way you want it, click the "Process Files" button.
NOTE: For some reason this software hates ampersands. (These thingies: &) It's best to try to avoid using them in your photo descriptions. (For instance: "Fluffy & his Gerbil"
